Tonight I will talk about a co-worker who's also my friend. We used to be seatmates who had our employee secrets, which I'm sure could be your secrets, too, namely accessing prohibited sites, video streaming, and the like. We used to cover each other before, literally, from our approaching superiors.
There was no 30-page Employee Manual then; no types of offenses; no prohibited sites. Nothing.
One grave feeling that an HR can have can be caused by a former seatmate's acts. Researching on how to dismiss this person legally simply brings back memories of laughter and mischief. No matter how my heart tells me to save her from such a disciplinary action, her actions are just grounds enough to keep my mouth shut and my body still.
